No Friday post this week 🙂 You get Christmas 2013 instead 🙂
We had an awesome and white first Christmas here in Kansas. I can’t believe that it is over already 😦 Anyways, we had a double Christmas celebration. Xavier’s family came into town the weekend before Christmas, so we had a semi-Christmas dinner and opened some of their gifts. We really enjoyed having family here for the holidays. The weather turned for the ugly while they were here, so venturing out was limited to the last minute Christmas shopping and coffee 🙂 It got down to like 2 degrees with snow and lots of ice.
Christmas eve, we cooked up Noche Buena dinner, finished wrapping gifts with the girls, and of course, A Christmas Story marathon. When we finished with the kitchen, the girls made their Christmas cookies, which ended up being cookie scraps, but they were still good 🙂 Aspen didn’t last until midnight and fell asleep somewhere in between, the big girls were too excited and stayed up all night. We had Noche Buena dinner(Jaelan prayed for the food, it was cute), and then we opened gifts. It was a blast, I love Christmas food, and watching the girls open gifts, and Christmas excitement. I love it! Christmas day consisted of more eating, talking/face timing with family and friends, playing with gifts, NBA marathon(Rockets beat the Spurs), hanging out with the family, and more eating.
Overall, it was an awesome Christmas! It has been a heck of a year and we have so much to be grateful for I don’t even know where to start. So, Thank You, Jesus, for being everything! We can’t wait to bring in the New Year and looking forward to what it has in store for us.
I hope everyone had an awesome and blessed Christmas and a safe and blessed New Year!! 🙂
